Our Values

Living Water’s Values…

The following values define and direct our ministry in the context of a caring, contemporary and Christ-centered environment. We are committed to the continual development and implementation of these values.

Integrity: We believe that a fully functioning follower of Christ should live life in such a way that their lips and life match one another. For this reason we are committed to consistently challenging everyone to live a life of integrity.

Authenticity: We believe that people are attracted to authenticity. We encourage everyone to live a life that is honest, authentic and real. When this happens people are drawn to Christ and the church becomes a tight knit community of believers.

Compassion: We believe that God did not create anything that He did not value. People matter to God and people matter to us! We are committed to reminding this church body of the value of every person. Like Christ, we want to see people in such a way that we are “moved with compassion”.

Intentionality: We believe nothing happens by accident and we want to teach people to stop living life that way. We believe that God is sovereign and that He has a purpose and plan for every life. We are committed to leading people to live life on purpose – intentionally.

Growth: We believe we were created to grow. God never intended for His children to stop growing. Growth takes place when there is health. Therefore we are committed to building and developing a healthy growth environment.

Balance: We believe that God desires for each of us to live biblically balanced lives. Corporately we are committed to the “Purpose Driven” model. We place a high value on living out the 5 purposes of the church (evangelism, ministry, worship, fellowship and discipleship). Individually we believe that balance between God, family, ministry, work and recreation is a must.

Generosity: We believe that we are never more like Jesus than when we are giving. At Living Water we are committed to continually developing a culture of generosity. We never want a need to go unmet. Because Jesus was generous – we want to be generous.

Excellence: We believe that God is honored and people are encouraged through excellence. There is a fine line between excellence and perfection, and we strive for excellence. For that reason we strive to flesh out Eccl. 9:10 – whatever your hand finds to do – do it with all your might. God is worthy of our very best – He is Lord, Master and Savior.

Family: We believe that the family is under attack like never before. It has been said that “our country is only as strong as our churches; and our churches are only as strong as our families”. The family is the foundation! We are committed to teaching every aspect of the family: godly leadership for the man, the importance of a strong husband wife relationship, the unquestioned importance of parenting and the responsibility of respect for the parents from the children. The family was the first institution that God created.

Vision: We believe that vision plays a vital role in the life of an individual as well as a church. We strongly encourage the people at Living Water to be people of vision, learning to see things how they could be instead of how they are. God has called us to be difference makers, and we are committed to that cause. “Where there is no vision the people perish.”
