• Oversee Visitor Follow-up team (55 people) for 400 visitors per year
• Contact each visitor 5 times (1st week phone call, letter, & gift bag delivered to visitor’s home, 30-day phone call, 60-day email), resulting in 10% increase in attendance per year.

• Planned, organized and led a group of 20 on a ten-day tour of Israel in October 2008
• In charge of church public relations and press releases
• Small group leader
• Reason for leaving: The church borrowed $5.5 million to construct a Children & Youth building, which added a $41,000 monthly mortgage to the budget. When the economy took a downturn, the elders were forced to lay off several staff members with the least seniority and slash the budget in every area.

2004-2006 Senior Pastor, Fellowship Baptist Church, Alachua County, Florida
• Was hired to lead a traditional Baptist church into contemporary worship with small groups
• Average attendance rose 40% from 220 to more than 310, which was the first increase in church attendance in five years

• Offerings increased more than 50%, Sunday School increased 35%
• Small groups tripled from five to fifteen
• Authored a Life Group Leaders Manual on small group leadership
• Authored weekly discussion questions for Life Groups
• Created successful children’s church program during worship services
Reason for leaving: When the church began to rapidly grow and add small groups, the deacons preferred the church to return to being traditional Baptist, conflicting with my contemporary church vision. I resigned and accepted an associate pastor position in a large contemporary church in the same area.

2002-2004 Director of Development, Brewton-Parker College, a Southern Baptist College in Mount Vernon, Georgia
• Raised funds for the college; provided information concerning charitable gift donations
• Preached in over 30 churches in Georgia

• Discovered 143 new student prospects
• Created the Board of Advancement, an organization of Christian businessmen
• Organized fundraising dinners and events
• Published monthly newsletter
• Served on Chapel, Centennial, and Website committees
Reason for leaving: When a church in Florida continued to contact me about being their senior pastor, I accepted their call. The President of Brewton-Parker College offered me the position of Vice President of College Advancement, but I did not feel God’s leading to accept this opportunity due to my acceptance of the senior pastor position.

• Created programs for Sunday school, children’s church, youth ministry, men’s ministry, small groups, and contemporary worship service
• Recorded devotionals for broadcast on local Christian radio station
• Served on steering committee for YWAM’s Impact World Tour
Reason for leaving: After serving 18 years as pastor, I had finished what God had called me to do and accepted an administrative staff position at a Christian college in Georgia. The church called a new pastor and it continues to grow today.
